The Tainan Confucian Temple, also known as the First Academy of Taiwan, is the oldest Confucian temple on the island, located in Tainan, Taiwan. It was originally built in 1665 by the Ming Dynasty loyalist Koxinga (Zheng Chenggong) as a place to honor Confucius and to promote Confucian teachings. The temple complex features traditional Chinese architecture, including courtyards, shrines, and a main hall with a statue of Confucius.
